Hi Jon,

I guess using a daily reboot of the router will be slightly better than
waiting multiple days.

You could upgrade to a Cisco and use event monitoring to detect if the
interface is down or some other issue and reset the interface or for that
matter restart the router.

But that is most likely a significant cost also.

Cheers

Don

It is an ASUS and from the reading I've done I think it has the auto-boot
option that David mentioned. Can't check the model number remotely and I
don't have it written down anywhere.

What is the make and model of the router Jon ?

Sorry if this is already mentioned on earlier posts.

Thanks

Don

"Small" wouldn't;'t cut it I'm afraid Art. There can be prolonged
outages
at this location and a UPS with enough capacity would be too expensive I

think.

David's idea might work for me as I _think_ the router may have an auto
re-boot capability.

We're going to be on-site next week so I can test various solutions
then.

I'm having a problem with the internet at a remote location. Basic
issue
appears to be that every time there is a power outage the router comes

up
faster than the ATT gateway. As a result it doesn't connect and I

access to router connected devices.

I can see on Amazon and elsewhere a range of devices that seem to
support
power cycling but the reviews are incredibly mixed.

Anyone got any suggestions of power cycling devices that work for
them?
