EDTF should have a mister yuck label on it. Might even be required by the
FDA nowadays......

You're way better off at that point to use any of the open source editors
(my current favorite is Bob, with Joe as a close second, in the end it does
not matter just pick one). At least those are real editors.

What, you don't use EDTF for CL? It's on every system, along with
CRTCLPGM, and doesn't require 5770WDS.
33% of our LPARs have 5770WDS. My goal is to cut that to 20%. 13% of the
systems only have it because a software package we no longer have used to
generate RPG on the fly for reporting and needed the compiler.

EDTF FILE(MYLIB/MYFILE) MBR(MYMBR)

With the exception of a quick/dirty CLP, SEU (including all the other
editing tooling) is all but dead.

PDM on the other hand is quite useful. The Admin version Steve pointed out
earlier is all that's needed there anyway.

Everywhere I look it says to call your BP for pricing. So I would ask
them.
It was not part of the stuff that is now bundled with IBM i.

Is IBM charging an arm and a leg for PDM/SEU these days?
