In that case, just use the OS/400 or IBMi command processing exits (QIBM_QCA_CHG_COMMAND and QIBM_QCA_RTV_COMMAND) to add the equivalent of a Validity Checking program to the CHGAUD command?
Or, just attach a VCP directly to the IBM-supplied command...

Why is this "idea" (or RFE) even necessary?
Just use CHGAUD to change the auditing for "/tmp" (or any other specific directories) as desired?
