We have a product that’s affected for a customer using LPM, due to a serial number situation.
We thought the virtual serial numbers were going to be a big help in this situation but turned out we only needed to write exit programs for the suspend and resume exit points introduced with LPM.
Not really sure the big benefits of the vsn will be… yet.

However some of the software companies are charging exorbitant prices then
add on charges based on model, then add on charges for lpars it's not even
running on then... Some of these we don't even load on the backup box and
we'll just do without when running on that box.

Glad I don't do any of that. :)
