It's a little late for the OP, but in my bag of tricks, I used to have a program named QSE. It was created by the QSECOFR user profile and adopted QSECOFR authority.

If I ever got into a "sticky situation", I just typed CALL QSE on a command line, and magically, I could proceed unimpeded. In all those years, the name of that program never caught the attention of a single auditor. 😊

Hello Roberto,

As long as you create a QSECOFR-like user BEFORE restoring the user profiles, you can keep access to the machine even if you don't know both QSECOFR passwords.

This brings up a thought: Assuming he's only doing a LIC and base OS install, wouldn't the user profiles be retained on the existing ASP? So, after the LIC and base library install, in course of the manual IPL, he *will* be asked for the QSECOFR password to continue IPL.

It's worse than I thought.
