With all of the cloud based solutions available such as GMail and O365, I'd
look that route. The only thing you'd need to look out for, especially if
you do email marketing, is their limits. For most it's ok, but for
companies that send many thousands of emails a day you may need to check
those limits.

And if you want something super simple and inexpensive to work with a cloud
based solution for mail delivery (we also have solutions to pull mail from
these cloud services), my MAILTOOL software will save you weeks of pulling
your hair trying to set up the IBM SMTP server to send mail to them.

It also has so much more functionality and configurability as well as easy
to read debugging reports, and of course support from yours truly.

your local diner each day. (not starbucks..haha..)

I have a client that has been using Domino for some years as their mail

They have now discovered that their old Domino version is too old for some

For some reason I feel that this may not be the right path. They only use
Domino as an email server and domino is filled with an enormous amount of
other stuff that they definitely do not need.

What other mail servers can be installed on the IBM i? Any open source
versions out there?
