We are writing QHST and Audit Journal entries to a GrayLog syslog server.

We are using SK's HTTPAPI and it is working fine.

The next step for us is to refine what entries are required to be logged
using external filter definitions.

You can try ILE Logger: https://github.com/AlexeiBaranov/ile_logger
It can send syslog messages to external server, as well as to job
log/stdout/stderr

Is anyone putting out syslog from IBM i to a SIEM server without using a
commercial solution? If so what entailed in doing it? Anything special
beyond following the tech note?
