You are completely correct. I don't know why I thought it was sites
reading other sites cookies, rather than say a third party ad-network
cookie following the user. I can only guess that years ago I confuddled
third party cookies with non host-only (second level domain) cookies.
Its a good job I've never worked on public websites for a living!
