Jacob, thank you for explaining all of that.

Do you know if this version of Java will support the Download Director JLNP files?

IBM loves to rely on that software, but then dropped the javaws from the OpenJDK downloads. I understand why, but then having to do one handed cartwheels while playing a trumpet to get director to work was too painful.

If you're going to use Java just for ACS, all you need is the JRE, not the
JDK. Also, Normal is all you need, not Large Heap.

MSI vs ZIP
This just depends on how you prefer to deploy the JRE. If you're installing
on Windows machines, you can use the MSI. It will give you a typical
installation that can be removed via the Control Panel. It can also can be
deployed via Group Policy, so that could be a help for your Active Directory

I've been using the OpenJ9 JVM. I could've sworn I had issues at one point
with the HotSpot JVM and ACS, so I just stuck with OpenJ9. That could no
longer be an issue. With regards to AdoptOpenJDK, see my last post for a
quick primer on where to get your Java Runtime:

short, if you want to continue using the OpenJ9 JVM, start getting it from
IBM's Semeru Runtime, as AdoptOpenJDK will no longer release updates for
OpenJ9. The AdoptOpenJDK page is going away soon, and they are already
listing the Semeru Runtimes for OpenJ9. From the AdoptOpenJDK website:
"*Semeru Runtimes releases are provided by IBM. Please consume these
binaries from developer.ibm.com going forward."

Rob, in the meantime, AdoptOpenJDK got absorbed or bought into another
company and they won't be distributing IBM's J9 runtime anymore. That's why
IBM came with that "marketing did not check what semeru means to a normal
japanese" name.
You can download the semeru runtime built by IBM directly from:
https://developer.ibm.com/languages/java/semeru-runtimes/
And there you can get the Java 11 J9 JDK for Windows.

The former is "Normal" while the latter is "Large Heap"

Do I download all four files on the right? If so, what do I do with them?
