I think they leave that part to the PowerVC layer. Since I suppose they
assume a Cloud Provider would be using some automation to manage the Power
Systems.

I think IBM is talking to a very narrow group of users when doing the
design of the HMC software, and there is little or no representation from
IBM i on that panel. They asked for input at PowerUp a few years ago but
the slide was up/down so fast you could not copy down the URL. It was not
in the handout that I could find.

Interestingly, IBM seems to not realize that with the increasing managed
service providers, the possibility of a restricted access to a system, plus
connection to the console function of HMC would be a great benefit for each
and every HMC managed system when being "cloud accessed".
