What blows my mind is your statement "we tried the revolver as well". A
revolver is pretty drastic :)

Btw…

SK… Does it also blow your mind that two other very veteran talented
developers on the Linux and other aix/ibm i platforms don’t know how to
resolve this either (including the guy who wrote the goLang)? We’ve spent
hours trying different things including things already mentioned here.
It’s been handed to me… for some reason… like some kind of abandoned
Frankenstein project.

Pretty sure we tried the revolver as well but I’ll give it a second
pass over since it’s being confirmed here again as a possible solution.

Thanks!!!

But from command line, yes can ping the remote ip.

Thanks. I see two options:
- Try to create a file /etc/resolv.conf, ask your Linux guy what
exactly to write there,

domain internal.domain.name
nameserver 1.2.3.4

Maybe this makes that program happy. See Calvin's comment.

- Set up the IBM i DNS server, just forwarding to what your site's DNS
server(s) is/are. This is like shooting flies with cannonballs, but…
