No. But you can just do that if you feel like it. I also update the other items as there are changes in the help and if you run Windows, IBM modified the .EXE files a few releases that made it necessary to replace that folder.
If you are on version 1.1.8.3 or higher you can run the update from one of you IBM i servers from within the ACS product. It can take several minutes to complete so do it when you have free time. Also, if you do the update from within the product updates a file with a timestamp that prevents you from reverting back and then performing the update again without manual intervention.
