I could not get that to work. On 2012R2 or 2016. I can see why, the logon info is passed in the clear. We are still changing jobs to run interactivity at the user's PC with strpco and runpccmd. No logon required. It has been a real pain as we had several jobs that were submitted to batch to import a pre-indexed folder of images to our document management system.
We had to break down and change one program at a time, test and adjust to get working. Also found out that MochaSoft does not support the STRPCCMD so we had to switch user to the Client Access emulator. Boy they are not happy with change.

Subject: Client Access RunRmtCmd - Windows Server 2012
I know we need to move to OpenSSH for this, but I need to buy some time - a LOT of programs to modify to get there.
We have to replace an older server with 2012R2. Client Access has been installed and the incoming service is active.
Every time I try to run a command or BAT file, I get this response in a spool file:
"The remote command has produced no output."
Redirecting output to a file on the server proves the task is not being executed.
Has anyone here successfully implemented RunRmtCmd on Server 2012R2?
