You are barking up the wrong tree.
Activation groups have nothing to do with "threads" per se.
Also, those locks are normally scoped to the *JOB, and not to the
"activation group."

Probably better to have PGMA issue:
ALCOBJ ...
CALL PGMB ...
DLCOBJ ...

Usually a good idea to keep the ALCOBJ and DLCOBJ together in the same
program.
AFAIK, Activation Groups do not "buy" you anything in this regard, as the
locks are normally scoped to the *JOB.
Threads just further complicates the whole picture.
