You asked:
"Why does it still attempt to save /QIBM"

The command doesn't omit that dir, so it saves it. If you want it to not
save /QIBM, you'll need to omit it.

Jim, I have the folders specified that I want omitted.

('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT) ('/QDLS' *OMIT) ('/QSR' *OMIT) ('/QTCPTMM' *OMIT)
('/PTF' *OMIT) ('/CUM_PTF' *OMIT)

Is there something wrong with this?
Darryl.

It?s saving them because you don?t have them omitted. What?s the purpose
of this backup?

SAV DEV('/QSYS.LIB/QTEMP.LIB/SAV_IFS.FILE') +
OBJ(('/*') ('/QSYS.LIB' *OMIT) ('/QDLS' +

*OMIT) ('/QSR' *OMIT) ('/QTCPTMM' +

*OMIT) ('/PTF' *OMIT) +
('/CUM_PTF' *OMIT)) SAVACT(*YES) +

SAVACTOPT(*ALWCKPWRT) UPDHST(*YES) +

DTACPR(*HIGH)
I got this from the help examples in RDi.
