The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
If you have the following lpp:
Resource
ID Option Feature Description
5770SS1 31 5050 Domain Name System
You can do this
NSLOOKUP HOSTNAME(dekko.com) DMNNAMSVR(dns.google.com)
Since it puts it into a qsHell window you could look for other tools to retrieve the output from said window.
Now, if you could find a useful external web site that would return dns information you would be able to strip it out of the data returned by such things as
values systools.httpgetclob('
https://dns.google.com/query?name=dekko.com','');
Programmatically you'd have to replace VALUES with VALUES INTO.
For those who can't understand how easy VALUES is replace it with
SELECT ... FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1
Which has been deprecated (mostly) by VALUES.
