Since the IBM i can have multiple IP addresses assigned, the below works better if the "alias name" is utilized.

for instance 127.0.0.1 uses "LOCALHOST"
and if you use VIPA for IP failover you have at least 3 IP addresses.

I can get the Server IP in an interactive job using the QDCRDEVD API. But
this will not work in a batch job. Does Anyone know how to do this, in
batch?
I saw a post about running that API before the batch job and putting it in
the LDA or something, but I don't see that as a good option.
