I have to admit I spent a good amount of time this morning on the new site
and felt much less productive with it. I also found the performance
horrible though no one else has mentioned that, so perhaps it's something
on my side... And the wasted space, agree completely.

Yup - I have no love lost for those days Mark. But the current approach
of acres of whitespace and endless links is worse in my opinion. And of

Hi, Jack, and Jon, et al ...

Recalling multiple feet of IBM printed manuals we used to have to
manually search through, using the index at the back of each one, to find
answers, back in the day, on IBM mainframes, S/3x midrange systems, and
AS/400s, prior to the advent of "the internet" and BookManager, and
eventually CD-ROMs and .pdf documents, etc.

Fun times!

All the best,

I honestly don't recall now Jack - I spent a lot of time on the web

windowing of dates in Db2.

Well, you figured it out, we'll figure it out, on to the next foofrah.
The problem is mostly the size of the body of literature IBM has pumped
out
over 70 years of digital binary computing.
It wasn't that much easier when everything was on pub.boulder.ibm.com
Book manager ... SGML ... plasma displays ... :)
Life goes on and the world turns.
