I think that just providing APIs is not enough.  This requires someone to write code to create their own commands, etc., if they want a "green-screen" way to do some things.  

I think in addition to providing one or more GUI interfaces, IBM should also provide traditional *CMDs for those operations.
Also, when IBM deprecates something like the old "fat-client" System i Navigator or iSeries Navigator (aka. Operations Navigator), replacing it with a web-browser based alternative,  IBM should at least provide "open source" for the source code for that deprecated fat-client... at least, the parts that are written in Java, so that if we want to continue to use it, we can just maintain it ourselves.

Do we really need to open RFEs for this?
