well - at least we are not MSS if this is your point of view. We do anything for the client, as long as it affects IBM i business.
Others would say we run a cloud with people who know the system, the programming, the business and the clients Organization.
And there is a lot of shops who are really glad to *not* run „standard“ Software like their competitors.

But that is the weird AS/400 erm IBM i story being told since 30+ years.

I know of local people here who have went to IBM i cloud based solutions.
Does one really expect MSS people to customize software for a client's different customers? Is that more of a role of a consultant versus a MSS provider? The way I see it is a MSS provider would update/patch OS, look for items which need attention (such as disk filling up, etc). Maybe in the case of little to no custom software do some of those type upgrades (for example, our MSS is upgrading IBM Secure Identity Manager).
