I'm not suggesting it's difficult or that it should be avoided, I am just
pointing out it is different and not a drop-in replacement based on the
original question:
"I know that BRMS can do the equivalent of the Go Save 21"
Anyone expecting to replace GO SAVE 21 with the BRMS System Group and then
just pop the tape in and do a recovery the same way they did previously
would be sadly disappointed.

I would also encourage you to understand that recovery is quite different
from that based on a Go Save 21 -
it's not just a replacement or an alternative method to get the same thing,
the save is structured quite differently on tape and the recovery process
is also different.

But in the last several years I've done more bare metal system restores
from BRMS than from GO SAVE 21. So the BRMS recovery reports are pretty
rock solid.

I would endorse what Rob said about the omits.

I have been searching for instructions on how to do it. I have not found
anything that I would consider instructions. More like, yep you can do
it.

Can anyone point me to some instructions? How to set it up and how to
run
it.

I have seen things about using BRMS console.
I know the Control Group *SYSTEM would be the group to use.

TIA
