Hi Alan,

It depends.  If you do an OVRDBF FILE(OUTPUT) TOFILE(MyFile) before invoking FTP, then yes, it's a real file, a source physical file. If there is no override, the output goes to the terminal, or joblog if it's a batch job.

For Darryl to avoid changing hundreds of programs, they would have to already have the OVRDBF command in them.

So I guess Alan's answer is the right suggestion. Since you probably have
to change a lot of programs don't waste your time tweaking the scripts
but
change them into something usable via Scott Klemets Ftpapi service
program.
