We're running Infor ERPLX 8.3.3 on IBM i 7.4.
We are using scanners with a 5250 screen.
We are using software from Nutech to just display fields from LX screens needed on the scanners.
Been doing this for a long time. Some of our older scanners are sitting in the big pile on a pallet waiting for recycling when we vacate this building in office consolidation.
So, yeah, we have a few...

Sorry I'm old school.
We are on a Power 8 with V7R3 and we have both ACS and Client Access V7.1 in use.
We use Infor ERPLX 8.3.4 and have home written applications that this will be used for.
Thanks,

FIrst did you mean to say IBM i rather than AS400?
Second did you mean to say ACS rather than Client Access?
I'm not just poking at names here because if you are indeed on AS/400 that means much older version with fewer thigns supported. You didn't specify the O/S version or release.
Also Client Access is no longer supported at all, in fact iBM refers to it as 'DeadNav' because, well, it's dead. It also only ever ran on Windows which would mean your handheld device would requite a Windows O/S.
ACS on the other hand is Java so in theory could run on any device that supports Java at least Windows, Linux, or Apple devices.
Depending on where you are software version wise will make a difference to what your options are.

Hi,
We are currently using MT2070 handheld barcode scanners, with a MCL application, to collect data throughout the day and then batch upload the collected data at the end of the day into an AS400 database.
We want to go to real-time using Wi-Fi devices and just wondering what are the best economically devices to use and also how we would connect to the AS400.
I would like to use Client Access as the connectivity software unless there are other options.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
