What we do is copy the PF to an IFS file and then encrypt/sign the IFS file.

You'll probably first have to get the data in the format the remote site wants (e.g. JSON, CSV, fixed-width TXT). Then what type of encrypt/signing do they require? They have to be able to decrypt/verify whatever you send them. They'll probably specify the specs for the encryption/signing.

Subject: Encryption Help

Hello,

I need to encrypt a physical or stream file on an Iseries at record and file level.

The file will then be passed securely to a non-ibm site for decryption.

The Iseries (or what ever the new model name is) has OS V7.

Sorry I have no real knowledge of how encryption really works, storage of keys etc.

I assume this is beyond taking an example program from someone like Scott Klement.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
