I remember having a discussion with Joe Pluta on this. Basically he was narrowly defining 'virus' to mean something highly unlikely (or impossible) to happen in IBM i based on some technical details. Not disparaging him, just the way the discussion went.

Malware is a whole different subject. I assume, by definition, I could write malware in CL targeted only for IBM i, post it on an open source site, and have someone download it and run it and it could cycle through a list of libraries and clear each library.
