Hello Steve,

is this a case where the IBM i is not as flexible as Linux? On Linux you
run "sudo ufw" to config the firewall. But on the ibm i there is no
firewall. You have to have access to the network firewall?

Please don't confuse a "local" firewall with a corporate security gateway. These got bad reputation in the olden days when everyone dialled into the next ISP with a Modem, directly from Windows. And even in Linux, I see a local FW more as a workaround to omit proper hardening the machine by disabling or uninstalling unneeded daemons.

I'd not expect IBM i to have a firewall. That's where other companies come into play. IBM i shines in other categories.
