The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Presuming multiple tape devices in the tape library device (VTL or
physical). We do that all the time with both physical tape and VTL. We've
only been able to saturate the 8Gb fibre a couple of times, although we come
very close in several cases......

Not to forget the little detail: NPIV enables multiple parallel sessions at
the same time! If the DASD subsystem is fast, one can backup multiple LPARs
to the VTL in parallel.
