THe key is adding the *MOVDTA and *ENDALC steps in IBM doesn't save any time. These are just uneeded steps in the process. Instead Add the new disks in SST with NO Balance then as soon as that is done Remove the old disks in SST.

Only two steps instead of four steps. None require a down time which is good but end up with the same result in half the steps.
