That's a possibility. However think of how that library would now appear in WRKOBJBRM. First of all the library name might be different, if you restored to a different library name so as not to conflict with the existing library. Then the expiration would have to be set on the resave. The save date would not be indicative of the real age of the data within.
We do not use *perm on our saves. The longest we keep any data is just slightly over a year. Anything older than that is just evidence which can be used against you. Oh, we may copy some sales data to other stuff for comparisons but no saves are kept longer than I stated.
