We have a WRKJOBSCDE that is scheduled to run every Saturday @ 7:00 a.m.
The users would now like this to be run on the first of each month
as well - also @ 7:00 a.m.
Is this possible within the same job scheduled entry?
I would prefer NOT to have 2 separate job scheduled entries - a new
one for the first of each month as February 1, 2020 is a Saturday
and I don't want 2 instances of the same job/programs being run at
the same time

WRKJOBSCDE won't do that. But, when I needed to use WRKJOBSCDE in
ways it did not support, I implemented the following sequence of commands
to accomplish programmatic rescheduling. You can do something similar.

CVTDAT DATE(&JOBDATE) TOVAR(&SCHDATE) +
FROMFMT(*YYMD) TOFMT(*ISO) TOSEP('-')
UTADDDAT OUTDATE(&SCHDATE) ISODATE(&SCHDATE) +
COUNT(1) TYPE(*YEAR)
CVTDAT DATE(&SCHDATE) TOVAR(&SCHDATE) +
FROMFMT(*ISO) TOFMT(*USA) TOSEP('/')
CHGJOBSCDE JOB(&JOBNAME) SCDDATE(&SCHDATE)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF1620)

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
