This was under consideration for a one-time only use prior to a software install using LODRUN to pre-load an RSTASP value to be used when creating an application library.  I'm also thinking of using an environment variable.

It is an archaic construct from the pre-parameter days and is basically an accident waiting to happen as has been demonstrated many times.
