Talk about a huge strategic mistake. EGL turned the entire ecosystem 
into a cohesive, distributed application environment.  I created some 
fantastically powerful web-based tools with that language, and I was 
just starting to do mobile when the writing on the wall became painfully 
clear.

That was when I gave up on IBM as a leading edge strategic player in the 
business systems world.
