I believe ACS tries to use SSL/TLS for the console by default. That of course doesn't work to anything older than i 7.3.

Have you tried the "Local Console" button in ACS? It's in the System Configuration panel. Click that and put in the IP address you know for the ops console interface.

port on the back on the system to plug it into, and/or I'm not sure if I
