Hello Roberto

Just dealt with a similar problem with Hebrew fonts

You need to :

a. install LICPGM 5733-B45 which is a collection of various fonts.
Look here to find what options you need beside *Base

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/how-install-afp-font-collection-ibm-i-product-5733b45

b. add a Font clause to your Printer file's DDS. like:
A R REC1 FONTNAME('Thorndale Duospace WT
-
A ME' (*POINTSIZE 10) +
A (*CODEPAGE
QFNTCDEPAG/T1000424))

c. create the Spool file

d. run the CPYSPLF

I used the good advice of Mark S Waterbury for the install part.

Gad
BTW
with a proper OVRPRF You can print directly to PDF with going through Spool
file

subject: Spool file to PDF CCSID conversion (Polish-870)

I already asked without answers ... let me try another time.

I've got a spool file (*SCS) (from my Italian ERP) with an invoice and a
list of products with polish descriptions... I can see polish chars in my
spool file without problem ... something like that:
LExxx P??KA PULPITU LE SZ=600 G=400
xxx2 120 ? PROFIL WSPIERAJ?CY
yyy2 Z??CZE ?CIENNE 60

but when I try to get a PDF from this spool file there's no way to get this
"strange" chars on it

CPYSPLF FILE(ORDINI) TOFILE(*TOSTMF) JOB(514606/ROBERTO/DSPPOLAC)
SPLNBR(*LAST) TOSTMF('/home/pdf/roberto/xxnew.pdf') WSCST(*PDF)
STMFOPT(*REPLACE)

I just tried with an IFS file "xxnew.pdf" with the right CCSID 870 (Polish)
... but I get always the same result a PDF without my Polish chars!

How can I get my PDF with Polish text
