No special fonts, it's just the CCSID used. If your job CCSID is 37 then
all polish characters just aren't there.

Maybe call IBM then. I'm sure they can help.

MAILTOOL Benefit #9 <https://www.bvstools.com/mailtool.html>: Superior
debugging (when using MAILTOOL Plus) - Bypassing the IBM SMTP server means
that we can fully debug and track down sometimes hard to find problems.
Even the Trace TCP/IP Application (TRCTCPAPP) command won't be this
detailed!

Ok Bradley, I'm sure your SPLTOOL it's a great tool, but I'm wondering how
Polish people create their PDF from their spool!

Maybe I need a second language? Or some fonts?

I know with my SPLTOOL software that converts spooled files to PDF I have
an option to provide a CCSID on the resulting file and for conversion.
How
does IBM handle that with their CPYSPLF?

You're welcome to try out SPLTOOL to see if that works if you can't
figure
it out. https://www.bvstools.com/spltool.html.

The only code pages I ever had issues with were DCBC Chinese characters.

Thank you Alex:
Original spool file was created with CHRID(*DEVD)

I just tried with CHRID(870 870) and
1 - Spool file look similar
2 - PDF is better than before but not all chars are "printed on"

I use
CPYSPLF FILE(ORDINI) TOFILE(*TOSTMF) JOB(515224/ROBERTO/DSPPOLAC2)
SPLNBR(*LAST) TOSTMF('/smedoc/ute/roberto/xxnew.pdf')
WSCST(*PDF)
STMFOPT(*REPLACE)

Here as I see my spool file

attribute (strange char, conversion error)

Hi Roberto

I think the problem may be related to the CHRID of the spool file, or
with
the printer device or even with the CCSID of the job thats runs the
CPYSPLF

What is the CCSID of the generated pdf file?

I already asked without answers ... let me try another time.

I've got a spool file (*SCS) (from my Italian ERP) with an invoice
and
a
list of products with polish descriptions... I can see polish chars
in
my
spool file without problem ... something like that:
LExxx PÓŁKA PULPITU LE SZ=600 G=400
xxx2 120 Ł PROFIL WSPIERAJĄCY
yyy2 ZŁĄCZE ŚCIENNE 60

but when I try to get a PDF from this spool file there's no way to
get
this
"strange" chars on it

CPYSPLF FILE(ORDINI) TOFILE(*TOSTMF) JOB(514606/ROBERTO/DSPPOLAC)
SPLNBR(*LAST) TOSTMF('/home/pdf/roberto/xxnew.pdf') WSCST(*PDF)
STMFOPT(*REPLACE)

I just tried with an IFS file "xxnew.pdf" with the right CCSID 870
(Polish)
... but I get always the same result a PDF without my Polish chars!

How can I get my PDF with Polish text
