Run a CHKASPBAL.
I have a bunch of new "drives" I just added in STRSST with 'add and balance'. You will see a message like
Balancing type *CAPACITY is active for ASP 1 with name *N.

Don't freak out if you see a bunch of
Unit 61 is selected for end allocation.
While it is in the process of balancing.
