I just want to make sure we are talking the right terminology here. What do you mean by "Navigator for i"? If you mean the "System i Navigator" compass looking icon as provided by the deprecated Client Access for Windows you should find some other way to transfer files. I did try the "Navigator for i" from iACS. If I paste the URL into just the right browser, and it hasn't been a bad day with too many redirects, I can get that to work.

I was hoping that the for mentioned current way we are doing overlays would stay the same at least for 7.3 and 7.4. We tried a few different AFPDS utilities but not getting the results we were looking for, as I need the end results to be a postscript files and not pcl files to take advantage of the media type (Plain Paper) and not source drawer (4) to send to a 3rd party print house. This tech note confirms that I should have some time to find a different product if I even need to as long as they don't remove AFP print drivers and the Navigator for i function for importing AFP resources.

Subject: AFP Resources

I was hoping that someone can provide some feedback on the
availability of AFP resources. I know that the AFPDS utilities are
going away on future releases. I am curious on the availability of
creating an overlay in Microsoft Word, printing via AFP Generic
InfoPrint driver and uploading the PRN via IBM Navigator in Access
Client Solution. Will this feature be available for years to come.
Also, will IBM AFP print drivers continue to be develop for future release of Windows?

Thanks,
Darin
