The last several EOL's have been either April 30, or September 30. Well, we missed April 30 so let's assume September 30.

IBM has not announced EOL for 7.2. When they do, they promise 12 months notice.
Totally uneducated speculation varies from unbelief they haven't done so already on out.
EOL announcement of x-2 has varied widely enough to defy speculation.
I suspect they want to keep the focus on 7.4 for a few months prior to announcing EOL of 7.2.

Subject: V7R2 End of Life?

Has IBM announced end of support or end of life for V7R2?

I have a Power 7 that is end of support on 9/30/2019, and am planning to replace it but will likely be keeping the Power 7 for at least a year or two and am wondering if it is worth upgrading to V7R3 even though the hardware will not be supported.
