No announcement as of today.

I would not expect them to announce EOS for V7R2 until they no longer
support the P7+ boxes.

As to the upgrade, Yes! Upgrade. It's worth it. DB performance, extra
security stuff, etc.

Subject: V7R2 End of Life?

Has IBM announced end of support or end of life for V7R2?

I have a Power 7 that is end of support on 9/30/2019, and am planning to
replace it but will likely be keeping the Power 7 for at least a year or two
and am wondering if it is worth upgrading to V7R3 even though the hardware
will not be supported.
