2021ish, if you look at a recent IBM i Support Roadmap (towards the bottom of this web page) https://www.itechsol.com/moving-ibm-i-to-power9/

IBM has never concurrently supported more than three generations of IBM i,

iNext (i 7.4?) to be announced next week, so i 7.2, i 7.3 and iNext make three

IBM seems to be targeting 2021 for iNext+1,

2 to 3 years seems to be the current time between IBM i releases
