Thanks for this, Chris - I knew I could help if I remembered just how I managed to get Ghostscript on our systems - it got all the dependencies in place, which seems to be biting the OP every step along the way.

Of course, rpm and PERZL are the old-school way - the tools in ACS would do it great, IF either IBM have put GhostScript in their repository or there is a non-IBM repository with it.
