Yes, I'm a big dBeaver fan myself. I especially like that I can install
it pretty much any Eclipse configuration, not just RDi. In part 2 of my
series on creating a virtual LAMP stack, I show how to use the Eclipse
PDT (since it's free!) to work with the Linux VM, and part 5 will show
how to install and use dBeaver to manage the MySQL portion of the LAMP
stack. But I haven't actually tried using the ERD support in the tool;
that hasn't been a big focus for me currently.

Thanks Joe.
I should point out that this is not for personal user per-se. I am trying to build a "shopping list" for clients who ask for advice on the subject.
I've been using the free Eclipse plug-in for DBeaver and quite like that. I was hoping to give the latest version of Data Studio a trial run on the Mac for a comparison - but I just found out that the IBM recommendation is to run it in Windows on a Docker instance. Yea - right. If was willing to do that I'd be running it in Parallels today. Very disappointing as there had been several strong hints that a Mac version was coming real-soon-now.
