I don't keep up with these things, but as recently as last week I was hearing a story of a distribution center brought to an abrupt halt by sabotaged software, severe enough so that workers were sent home. Rumors were that it from a malicious attack. The only computer equipment still working in the building were cell phones and a couple of current iSeries machines.

In other words, it would seem that a good, strong, and defensible argument can be made for this platform's reliability in this age of cyber-terrorism, bullying, ransomware, and non-innocent hi-jinks.

It would seem that it might be a lot easier to re-write those insulting sign-on screens than to swivel to a less robust paltform.
