I do not believe you can get keys.

So far as I know the only way to get keys for a V5R4 system is to be on a machine new enough to run a release you CAN purchase, which today is i 7.2. That means you need to be on a POWER6 server. Then once you get the i 7.2 software IBM will generate keys back as far as the machine will support.

Given that a 270 can't run i 7.2, you're out of luck.

So would I. I think i5/OS V5R4 was the last OS version supported on a
9406-270. :-)
