But I understand now - I am missing 5770JV1 Opt 17 - Java 64 bit on the i itself. Downloading it now!
Thanks
Bob
p.s. Also, not just one system, but also a one-person IT shop, doing it all!

I would not assume by "the client" he meant the IBM i. He's an internal man on a one system shop. Not a consultant.
So yes, asking for confirmation that DSPSFWRSC shows
Resource
ID Option Feature Description
5770JV1 17 5117 Java SE 8 64 bit
Is probably a safe way to ask for confirmation.

I assume he's asking about Java on IBMi (i.e. 5770JV1 #17).

Yes, I have Java 8 64-bit installed on the client.
The problem is the ADMIN2 job is failing at startup on the i. Not sure how what's installed on my PC would affect that?
Thanks
Bob
