It's NEVER the case that "just because you can" means you should. It's
always the case that you should only do what makes sense, and do it in
the clearest, most readable way.
Unavoidably, what's clear to someone experienced in a language isn't
always clear to a beginner, and even people of comparable skill and
experience can disagree on what's "best". But you can usually find a
sweet spot.
