Then there are those who feel you are wasting money if you're not running
close to 100%. They try to compare computer systems to plant
efficiencies, thinking that your stamping machine running at max rate 24 x
7 with rare outages for maintenance and product changeover is a good
comparison. There may be some validity to their argument, unless you are
the end user waiting on the slow machine.
The computer system might be more comparable to a stamping machine,
combined with a fabric loom, doughnut fryer, coffee maker, and more. It
would be hard to get such a machine running at 100% without someone
suffering.
