I would argue that anyone using 15k spinning disk drives for other than
archival data is using them wrong.
Now, I am not saying everyone should be using SSD's. If you are a shop
which tends to keep your hardware for 15 years then the maintenance on
SSD's is too horrific to contemplate. You'd be better off with 10k
spinning disks. But if you update hardware on a somewhat regular basis
then SSD's bear looking into.
