scp and sftp do not support password or otherwise interactive operation
from QSH or QP2TERM - you must use public-key authentication (it does work
if you call them from SSH). Here's a doc on setting up public keys:

For the host key verification, I've posted a few times on how to set this
up non-interactively if you search the archive.

Subject: Using ssh and scp from QShell and/or PASE?
Date: Tue, Nov 20, 2018 12:52 PM

Does anybody here have any experience using ssh and/or scp from QShell
and/or PASE?

If I sign on to one of our Google Compute Linux instances, and I do "scp
foo.txt <user>@<domain>:foo.txt" to connect to our web/FTP server, it
works just fine.

If I sign on to a V7 box, and go to QShell and do it, I get (at best)
> Permission denied, please try again.
> Permission denied, please try again.
> Permission denied (publickey,password,keyboard-interactive).
> lost connection
and at worst,
> Host key verification failed.
> lost connection

without even being asked for a password. And if I try to establish an
ssh session, the best I can get is being asked for a password, and I
still get, at best, "Permission denied, please try again."
