The manual for it is Application Display Programming - it's still available and current in Knowledge Center for each release - usually under the "PDF Manuals" link on the main KC page.

UIM is in the last few chapters. It might need APIs for some stuff, for help screens, not hardly at all, usually.

+1 with Carel on it's worth studying.

Vern

UIM is a tag language  related to HTML and XML.

You can create menus and help panelgroups using it. In most cases it requires the use of APIs.

There is a manual dedicated to it, worth studying.

Kind regards,

Carel Teijgeler

So how do you create UIM menus?  Is it via an IBM tool or a third party tool?

Logging this into the brain for future retrieval...assuming the index does not get corrupted.

Is a UIM menu different than a menu generated with STRSDA?  Maybe that

where I missed the question.  I've not heard of UIM so I assumed it
was
a
normal menu.

Correct.  STRSDA doesn't create UIM menus.  It creates DSPF menus.
